Diet change may improve survival chance in men with prostate cancer
Men with prostate cancer can boost their survival chances by replacing animal fats and carbs with healthy vegetable fats, such as olive and canola oils and avocados, suggests research led by the University of California — San Francisco. According to the study, men who substituted 10 percent of their daily caloric intake with olive oil, canola oil, nuts, seeds and avocadoes were 29 percent les likely to die from metastatic prostate cancer and 26 percent less likely to die from any other disease when compared to men who did not make the dietary change.
