Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Linked To Urinary Incontinence In Female Military Veterans
A new study finds that female veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder have a greater incidence of urinary incontinence than other women their age.
Dr. Catherine Bradley from the University of Iowa in Iowa, and colleagues assessed 968 women (median age of 38.7) registered at two Midwestern U.S. Veterans Affairs Medical Centers.
They found that urgency/mixed urinary incontinence in women veterans was associated with PTSD, but not depression.
